I have spotted as I’ve been walking about stalls for locals and workers. They contain all sorts of treats, mainly vegetarian (except for the BBQ on a wire places). I spotted little plastic bags filled with pink noodles, a couple of beans, slices of carrot and slices of fried flat egg: a simple ‘pad thai’; wrapped bamboo leaves containing sticky rice; dried banana chips in hard plastic bags; and dried puffed rice patties with sugar and salt (I tried some of these beauties and they were delicious, sweet rice chewy gooey-ness).

I have found the sustenance of the gods vegan Israeli place. Hair-raising hummus and zesty falafel. Twists on other great cuisines, like Spanish gazpacho and Vietnamese rolls… Mmmmmmmmmmm.
