Held in Practice

Long-term coaching for clarity, emotional integration, and sustainable change

How This Work Supports Real Change

At the core of Held in Practice is parts-based work and conscious engagement with the unconscious patterns that shape behaviour, emotion, and decision-making.

Rather than managing symptoms or overriding responses, we work at the level where patterns form. This includes:

  • Identifying the internal parts influencing your reactions and choices

  • Understanding the protective roles those parts developed

  • Bringing awareness, choice, and integration to patterns that were once automatic

This allows insight to land where it matters most. Change happens internally and coherently, not through pressure, performance, or force.

Somatic awareness and body-based practices will support this work. The emphasis is on helping insight become lived, integrated change.

Held in Practice is long-term coaching for intelligent, reflective people who want to understand themselves more deeply and create change at the level it actually forms.

Many people drawn to this work are capable, self-aware, and thoughtful. They often understand what they do and why they do it, yet still notice familiar emotional, relational, or behavioural patterns repeating beneath conscious choice. Insight alone has not been enough.

This work offers a steady, grounded space to engage with those deeper patterns over time, so understanding becomes integration and change becomes sustainable rather than effortful.

People enter this work for many reasons. Common themes include:

  • Repeating emotional or relational patterns that persist despite insight

  • Internal conflict between different parts of self, such as logic and emotion, safety and change, responsibility and desire

  • Life transitions or decisions where unconscious patterns are quietly shaping outcomes

  • A desire to understand root causes rather than manage surface behaviour

  • Integrating years of therapy, personal development, or spiritual work into something cohesive and lived

This is depth-oriented coaching for people who value understanding as much as change, and who are ready to work with both over time.

The Nature of Our Work Together

This work is relational, consistent, and responsive.

We work together over time, allowing patterns to emerge naturally rather than forcing insight or change on a schedule. Sessions are a space for honest exploration, reflection, and integration, shaped by what is actually present for you rather than a predetermined agenda.

My role is not to direct your life or override your intelligence. It is to help you see what is already operating beneath conscious choice, to work with those dynamics skillfully, and to support integration as new awareness settles into lived experience.

The pace of the work is guided by readiness rather than urgency. Some sessions may be focused and clarifying, others quieter and integrative. What matters is coherence over time, not intensity in any single moment.

This is collaborative work. You remain responsible for your choices and direction. I offer perspective, containment, and support so that change can unfold in a way that is grounded, sustainable, and yours.

Is this work right for you?

Held in Practice is well suited to people who are thoughtful, self-aware, and willing to engage honestly with themselves over time.

It may be a good fit if you:

  • Notice recurring emotional, relational, or behavioural patterns that persist despite insight

  • Value understanding and integration more than quick fixes

  • Are willing to slow the process enough for real change to stabilise

  • Want support that is relational and reflective rather than directive

This work may not be the right fit if you are looking for rapid results, external motivation, or someone to tell you what to do. It is also not designed for crisis support or short-term problem solving.

The intention is not to push change, but to create the conditions where change becomes possible, coherent, and lasting.

If this resonates, the next step is a simple conversation to explore fit and timing.

How This Work Is Held (3, 6, and 12-Month Containers)

Held in Practice is offered in 3, 6, and 12-month containers.
The length of the container shapes the pace, depth, and integration of the work.

This is not fast, forceful change. The work unfolds at a pace that is responsive to your nervous system, life circumstances, and readiness.

3 months
A focused container for working with a specific pattern, transition, or decision point.
Best suited when the territory is clear and the work can move with steady momentum.

6 months
A deeper container that allows space for patterns to emerge naturally and be worked with in real time.
This pace supports integration across multiple areas of life without rushing the process.

12 months
A long-term container for identity-level change.
This depth allows for sustained, relational work where change stabilises over time rather than being driven.

Container length and pacing are always explored together to ensure the work is supportive, appropriate, and aligned with where you are.
